Amigos Dive Center

Fancy being an Amigo in Mexico’s cave country?

Two of Wayne’s Amigos are leaving the magnificent caves of North Florida to establish a bed-and-breakfast operation on the Riviera Maya — one that caters specifically to cave divers. Located almost equidistant between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, Roger and Nelly Williams’ XOC-Ha compound is just five minutes south of Puerto Adventuras. The compound boasts easy access to spellbinding cenotes, dazzling beaches, the lively eateries and amusements of three nearby towns and, of course, the peace and tranquility of the jungle.

XOC-Ha is not only protected by 24-hour security, but also by a high gate and fences, ensuring complete privacy. XOC-Ha offers guests all the comforts of home, and the space for divers to have the vacation of their dreams. Whether you want daily cave guiding or instruction services with daily breakfasts and packed lunches included, or simply a place to sleep and hang your gear while plotting the next day’s dives with your buddy, XOC-Ha provides the perfect backdrop for your plans.

Accommodations

XOC-Ha has two fully-contained guest houses: the one-bedroom Casa Blanca (get it?) and studio casita Casa Roja. Guests can access the XOC-Ha compound at their convenience, and park their cars safely and securely outside their homes.

Each guesthouse has free WiFi, a small outdoor breakfast palapa, complimentary bottled water, and facilities for storing/drying dive gear and charging lights, computers and DPVs. Guests will also enjoy free access to our swimming pool and recreational palapa, which is fitted out with a table-tennis table and a TV.

We have a fully-equipped service bench, where we can overhaul or repair most pieces of dive equipment during your stay, if needed. There is also a small cenote on the property.

Non-Divers Welcome

Non-divers can create whatever experience they want at XOC-Ha. Want to hang out by the pool all day, with a book and a glass (or three) of Nelly’s home-made sangria? Feel free.

Alternatively, you can snorkel with the turtles in Akumal Bay, or doze on the white sandy beaches that stretch along the 120 kilometers of the Riviera Maya. The nearest beach is just a half hour amble from XOC-Ha, and an even shorter bike-ride.

Nature-lovers can revel in the plants and animals that populate the nearby Sian Ka’an Biosphere. More active folk can visit the numerous adventure parks that populate the area, or get their zen on at Tulum’s plentiful yoga studios. If you’re of a more cultured mindset, you can visit the picturesque Mayan ruins in nearby Tulum or Muyil, or drive further inland to Chichen Itza for a day-trip.
